Dutch colonialism in Indonesia, leaving his tracks in Bukittinggi. Memento in the form of the Clock Tower that characterizes the city.

This clock was built in 1926, as a gift from the Queen of Holland to the secretary of the city. Until now the tower Clock Tower is still the tallest building in Bukittinggi.

Clock Tower features a large bell at the top. At the bell at the manufacturer stated: "Vortmann Relinghausen, IW Germany". Vortman is the name behind this watchmaker, Benhard Vortmann. Recklinghausen is a city where the machine clock manufactured in Germany in 1892.

Besides Bukit Barisan mountain range and Mount Singgalang near Bukittinggi, many valleys or canyons and lakes are very attractive for tourists. Natural beauty plus the cool air in Bukittinggi region provide soothing shades for tourists who come to here.

Until now Bukittinggi still become major tourist destination for domestic even foreign tourists. Some people argue that the natural beauty of the canyon in Bukittinggi far more beautiful when viewed from the air, In fact looks beautiful from all sides. At the bottom of the canyon flow the river and more fertile land, while the winding canyon cliffs soaring from constant erosion by wind and rain naturally cause variety of form and color. What a stunning panorama.

Lembah Anai

When you are traveling from Padang to Bukittinggi, after an hour’s journey by car ahead of Padangpanjang city you will find winding roads that climb the slopes of the mountain shrouded in lush green trees and lush as a nature reserve. At a bend in the left edge of the road, there is Lembah Anai waterfall that looks so beautiful. Water falls from the middle of the valley wall is overgrown with dense trees hanging on the wall of the valley.

From the top of valley everyone can look toward the valley floor. Visible Lembah Anai with lush green trees and on the valley floor that flows Anai River, it was very beautiful natural scenery.

Sianok Canyon

In Bukittinggi city there are Panorama Park and the Japanese hole. From here, travelers can view Sianok Canyon. Valley walls visible from a distance, it’s beautiful unmatched. No wonder if the world tourists flock to Sianok Canyon to witness and capture the natural feel that very curvy.

In the Sianok Canyon there also Japan Hole, in Japanese colonial era become tunnel for defense purposes. Now it has been revitalized, so that visitors can go down into the tunnel at the end can directly view Sianok canyon from the floor.

Lembah Harau or Harau Valley

From Bukittinggi towards the West, you can take the highway from Bukittinggi to Pekanbaru. After passing the intersection of Payakumbuh take the road to the left, you will find Lembah Harau. It’s around 1.5 hours drive from Bukittinggi.

The Lembah Harau walls long stretches, interspersed with some lovely scenic waterfalls. Lembah Harau cliff is almost vertically. Variety shapes and colorful moss because of rain from the top of the cliff. Valley area of 300 hectares is a nature reserve with well preserved. At the bottom of valley spread out the rice fields, the exotic panorama will amaze who saw it.

In addition to natural tourism, Lemvah Harau is also used as rock climbing area, which popular until other country.

 Fortress Fort de Kock

Fortress Fort de Kock was built in 1825 by Captain Bauer at the Mount Jirek Negeri, Bukit Tinggi, Sumatera, Indonesia. Until now, Fort Fort de Kock was a silent witness to the vanity of Dutch colonial that at that time ruled Minangkabau and the remnants of that arrogance is still implicitly shown in this green-white colored building with 20 meters high.

Fortress Fort de Kock is equipped with a small cannon on its four corners. The area around the fort has been restored by local governments into a park with lots of shady trees and children’s toys.
The fortress is located at the Wildlife And Cultural Park, Kinantan, Bukit Tinggi in the same location as the Bukit Tinggi Zoo and Museum of Traditional House Baanjuang. The area of the fort situated on a hill at the left side of the entrance while the zoo and museum is located on the right hill.
Both are connected by Limpapeh bridge which beneath it there’s a highway of the town of Bukit Tinggi. Indeed, this region is located only 1 km from the center of Bukit Tinggi in the Clock Tower area, precisely in the Tuanku nan Renceh canal road. Bukit Tinggi alone can be taken about 2 hours from the city of Padang as the capital of West Sumatera province.

With Rp 5,000 (US $0.5), we can explore the castle, cross the bridge with panoramic views, observing a variety of wildlife and learn history at the museum. TO enter Traditional House Baanjuang, visitors must pay an entrance fee of Rp 1,000 per person. This place is often used as a family picnic or group goals for kindergarten and elementary school students to explore the nature, history and culture as well.
Some visitors even seemed happy just to enjoy the shady atmosphere around Fort Fort de Kock after reading a little explanation about the history of the fort. It’s written in a charter about 10 feet in front of the castle which was signed by Bukit Tinggi’s Mayor H. Djufri it opened as a tourist destination on March 15, 2003.

In the building that is deliberately built in 1930 by a Dutchman, Mr. Mandelar Controleur stored various kinds of Minangkabau’s typical objects such as traditional clothing, buffalo horn and traditional fishing equipment. In this place, visitors can also take pictures on the bridge with Minang traditional clothes only by paying Rp 2,500 to Rp 5,000.
The arrogance of Fort Fort de Kock was also recorded in a variety of souvenirs sold at stalls outside the tourist areas, such as T-shirts, keychains and Minangkabau distinctive bags.

BRUNO MARS ( THE PERFECT SINGER)!!!

Bruno Mars (lahir 8 Oktober 1985; umur 26 tahun) adalah penyanyi Pop, Hip-Hop, Soul, R&B dan pencipta lagu California, Amerika Serikat kelahiran Hawaii. Ia mulai terkenal saat berduet dengan B.o.B dalam lagu “Nothin’ On You dan saat merilis singlenya “Just The Way You Are”.

1985-2005: Awal Kehidupan

Jangan sangsikan musikalitasnya, karena dia juga berasal dari keluarga yang gemar seni, khususnya musik. Ayahnya, Pete, seorang New Yorker, adalah pemain perkusi. Ibunya, Bernie, berdarah Filipina keturunan “Puerto Rico”, adalah seorang penari hula. Pete dan Bernie memiliki 6 orang anak dan mengenalkan mereka pada berbagai jenis musik, reggae, rock, hip hop, dan R&B. Khusus untuk anaknya yang bernama Peter Gene Hernandez, Pete memanggilnya dengan nama Bruno, berhubung saat berusia 2 tahun, sang bayi bertubuh gempal, mirip dengan pegulat terkenal zaman itu, Bruno Sammartino. Nama itu yang kemudian dipilihnya sebagai nama panggungnya. Dan ketika memikirkan nama belakang untuk Bruno, dia langsung teringat akan para gadis yang menyebutkan dirinya bukan berasal dari bumi, yang lantas membuatnya terpikir akan Mars. Dan jadilah, Peter Gene Hernandez menjadi Bruno Mars, seperti yang kita kenal sekarang.Dia kelahiran 8 Oktober 1985. Dan dalam 25 tahun kehidupannya, hampir apa saja sudah dilakukannya dalam rangka mengasah kemampuan bermusiknya. 2006-2008 : Awal Karir

Usai menyelesaikan sekolahnya, dirinya pun hijrah ke Los Angeles untuk mewujudkan American Dream-nya. Dan Dewi Fortuna berpihak padanya, saat tahun 2006 lalu dirinya berkenalan dengan Aaron Bay Schuck, yang kemudian menjadi manajernya dan menawari kontrak di bawah nauangan “Atlantic Records”. Bruno Mars berada dalam jalur yang tepat menuju kesuksesan!
Apa yang harus ia lakukan sebagai langkah awal mencapai cita-citanya dalam industri ini? Tidak serta merta menjadi penyanyi, Bruno memulai dengan menulis lagu untuk penyanyi lain. Di muncul di credit untuk album Alexandra Burke (’Perfect’ from “Overcome”), Travie McCoy (”We’ll Be Alright’ from “Lazarus”), Brandy (’Long Distance’ from “Human”), empat buah lagu untuk album “Tomorrow” milik Sean Kingston, juga mega hit Right Round dari album “ROOTS” oleh Flo Rida. 2009-sekarang: Doo-wops & Hooligans

Semakin PD dengan kemampuannya di balik layar, mengapa tidak muncul sebagai vokal tamu. Maka dimulailah kemunculan nama Bruno Mars sebagai guest appearance untuk album “Far East Movement” “Animal” di lagu ‘3D’, dan juga debut “Jaeson Ma” ‘Love’. Menang, ini masih kurang mengangkat kepopuleran Bruno ke permukaan, tapi selanjutnya, tidak ada yang bisa menghentikannya. Kita pertama tau dirinya dan vokalnya yang kuat dan seksi dari single nomor 1 “B.o.B”, Nothin’ On You juga solo debut Travie McCoy ‘Billionaire’. Kita dibuat lebih tertarik padanya ketimbang pada penyaji utama kedua single tersebut. Dan ini semua cukup untuk menjadi landasan yang kuat untuk tampil sendiri. Just The Way You Are pun diluncurkan pada pertengahan tahun lalu. Dan hasilnya bigger than ever. Jadi juara di berbagai tangga lagu di berbagai belahan dunia. Lagu ini memiliki chorus yang dahsyat, melodi dan lirik yang memorable, dan menampilkan yang terbaik dari Bruno Mars. “”He’s on the way to top and there’s no sign of stopping!””
Untuk Grammy Awards tahun ini, kita dibuat tercengang dengan munculnya Bruno Mars dalam 6 kategori. “Best Rap Song, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration”, dan “Record Of The Year” untuk ‘Nothin’ On You’, “Record Of The Year” dan “Song Of The Year” untuk ‘F–k You’ yang dinyanyikan oleh Cee-Lo Green, “Best Male Pop Vocal Performance” untuk Just The Way You Are, dan “Producer Of The Year Non-classical” untuk trio The Smeezingtons. Ini bisa jadi menambah koleksi penghargaan yang diraihnya, setelah sebelumnya menyabet Soul Train Music Awards. Album debutnya “Doo-wops & Hooligans” yang berisi 12 track pun dirilis pada akhir Januari 2011 ini di Indonesia. Dan dalam menyambut kemeriahana tas kesuksesan pria seksi 25 tahun ini, CreativeDisc memilihnya sebagai sorotan selama sebulan penuh dalam Artist Of The Month! Single keduanya “Grenade” pun enggak kalah sukses. Jadi nomor 1 di berbagai tangga lagu di berbagai negara di Eropa, Australia, Asia, dan Amerika. We don’t have to think too much of where that voice coming from, cause we’re here to enjoy the month of love with his singing! It’s Bruno Mars!!!

Halooooooooo....... Apa kabar semuanya?Gue balik lagi setelah sekian lama gak ngepost. Baru sempat sih hehe
Sebenernya lagi gak punya topik lagi gak tau mau nulis apa di postingan kali ini  soalnya hati sama fikiran lagi campur aduk bgt. Tadi siang one of my best friends ngebaca sms yg isinya tetang something yg sebenernya sulit buat gue ceritain sama mereka. Awalnya gue udah punya niat buat cerita sih, cuma mental gue aja yg sama sekali belom siap. Masih malu sama kenyataan dan fakta yg ada. Gue udah niat bgt mau cerita kalo kondisi gue udah normal dan kembali biasa2 aja. Ternyata sebelom gue yg cerita, Tuhan berkehendak lain. Sahabat gue baca sms itu dan gue tetep harus jujur at the time. Mirisnya... gue malah ngerasa bersalah bgt karna harus ngumpetin ini dari mereka, ditambah lagi sahabat gue harus tau dari sms bukan dari mulut gue sendiri. Bukan bermaksut buat ngasih tau telat sama mereka tapi mental gue lagi down bgt buat ceritain itu semua. Maaf bgt ya buat sahabat2 gue, bukan gak mau berbagi tapi ibarat kiasan gue bagaikan "udah jatuh ketimpa tangga" jadi gue butuh waktu buat memulihkan diri gue. Maaf bgt yaaaaaaaa :(
Dan malem ini demi langit dan bumi hati dan fikiran gue lagi bener2 gak berketentuan. Gue bener2 gak tau harus ngapain, harus gimana biar bisa balik lagi ke hidup dan mood gue yg lebih baik. Yang jelas gue berharap sama Tuhan, semoga aja setelah ini masalah dan cobaan yg dateng ke gue berkurang dan gue tetep bisa konsen sama tujuan hidup yg baik hahahaha
Kadang musik itu emang pilihan hidup, bisa bikin kita lebih tenang dan ngerasa agak baikan. Good solution..
